Stainless steel expanded metal mesh is a mesh material made from stainless steel plates such as 302, 304, and 316 through a stamping and stretching process. It is also known as stainless steel stretched metal mesh or expanded metal mesh. Its mesh is mainly diamond-shaped, with hexagonal and circular shapes as well. The plate thickness ranges from 0.5 to 8 mm, and the long pitch can reach 12.5 to 200 mm. It has the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance, high tensile strength, and good light transmission. It is suitable for environments from -50℃ to 800℃.
This product is manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB11953-89. In the early days, it was mostly used in basic fields such as construction and machinery protection. With the upgrading of the process, its specifications have been expanded to a maximum mesh size of 4000×2000 mm, and its application scenarios have been extended to more than 20 industrial and civil fields such as filter manufacturing, pharmaceutical packaging, and high-end decoration [1]. The introduction of surface treatment technologies such as galvanizing and powder coating has further improved its environmental adaptability and promoted its popularization in heavy machinery, transportation facilities, and other scenarios.
