Micro expanded mesh is produced from a wide range of metals depending on the application:
.Stainless steel(304, 316L) – corrosion resistance and strength; widely used in filtration and medical devices.
.Aluminium – lightweight, good conductivity; used in EMI shielding and battery applications.
.Nickel – excellent corrosion resistance and conductivity; standard in fuel cells, battery electrodes, and hydrogen electrolysers.
.Copper – superior electrical/thermal conductivity; used for current collectors and advanced battery anodes.
.Titanium – biocompatibility and extreme corrosion resistance; used in implantable medical devices and aerospace.
.Other alloys (e.g., Inconel, Monel) and precious metals can be expanded for specialised uses.
